Vilbus - the local bus in Bad Vilbel

The Vilbus is operated by Stadtwerke Bad Vilbel. The municipal bus network comprises several lines that connect the various districts with each other and also provide connections to the S-Bahn stations.

The Vilbus is specially tailored to the needs of residents and visitors to Bad Vilbel, with short intervals and a high level of coverage.

New from December 2025: KNUT throughout Bad Vilbel

From 14 December 2025, the KNUT on-demand shuttle - previously only available in the north of Frankfurt - will serve the entire city area of Bad Vilbel.
The electrically powered vans (four vehicles in future) run flexibly after booking via the "OnDemand@RMV" app or by calling the central RMV hotline on 069 / 24 24 80 24. They transport passengers in the evening and at night (6 p.m. - 6 a.m.) within Bad Vibel and to the north of Frankfurt - conveniently, sustainably and without a fixed timetable.

 

Ticket options

Bad Vilbel Card: This special card is valid for journeys within the city region of Bad Vilbel. It offers a cheap alternative to RMV tickets if you are only travelling within the city.

Student and senior citizen tickets: Discounted tickets for schoolchildren and senior citizens are also available to cover daily needs.

You can also obtain: day tickets, group day tickets, weekly and monthly tickets, etc. at the Citizens' Office (city centre - Kurhaus). Here you can also applications for the Hessen Student Ticket and annual pass subscriptions (incl. 65-plus annual travelcard subscriptions - issued via the VGO in Friedberg).

These products are only issued on paper at the Citizens' Office. No single tickets are sold. At the VGF and RMV sales points, you can obtain weekly and monthly tickets for adults, schoolchildren and senior citizens.
